Question: What is the difference between a 'drum cartridge' and a 'toner cartridge' and how do they work?

Question : What is the difference between a 'drum cartridge' and a 'toner cartridge' and how do they work?
I am considering changing from inkjet to mono laser as I am fed up with having to clean the heads and if one fails, the printer won't work. I'm researching the consumables to go with a laser and am trying to understand how they work in comparison with an iinkjet and also the possible benefits. Any answers much appreciated.

A drum unit collects waste from the toner. A toner is the unit that actually contains the "ink" for printing.A drum unit should last as long as it takes you to use 3-4 toners.

I will personally recommend you to use a laserjet printer if your printing usuage is very high. A small HP laserjet printer can print as much 2500 page and the cartridge cost about S$200- answered by kel
