I have purchased recycled ink jet cartridges from Wal-Mart. I'm pretty sure that's what I bought. They were by Lexmark and they even gave you another bag to send your old cartridge back to them. It was a great cartridge, I had no problems with it.

Yes, recycled inkjet cartridges are a good alternative to the expensive brand names. They perform just as good. If you need high quality prints...then you may opt for the higher end cartridges. But for everyday use..they are good.Go to a reputable place to buy them though

Yes I have used those and also refilled a few cartridges myself...Those last about 85to 90% as long as the regular ones

I have had pretty good luck with PrintPal company...they are cheaper than most and will replace if they don't work.

Answer #6
Yes. They run about half the price but do tend to have a higher failure rate than the new ones. Check with the stores return policy regarding refilled cartridges before you by them.If you do a lot of printing, I recommend getting a color laser printer. Up front you will have to drop 300+ dollars, but in the long run you will save tons of money.

Answer #7
No!! I tried that once and tore up my printer. I either buy new cartridges for my scanner/fax/printer/copier, or buy a "disposable" printer for large jobs. By disposable, I mean the printer is cheaper than the ink cartridges. It's cheaper to buy the printer than the ink.

I tried recycled cartridges. They just don't work. The self kits are garbage. A local print shop might be able to do something, but I tried one of theirs and the quality is terrible. Some newer cartridges have tech measures to tell if a cart has been refilled. What I have found is that even if you can, it's generally much worse in print cartridge. The best thing you can do is go to officemax and have them recycle it, you'll get a ream of paper for free.Hope this helps!

I find buying new ones with coupons fro Staples, Office Max or Office Depot are just about as cheap as recycled ones, and they tend to last loger and work better. Recycled are hit or miss.
